Though with regular
daily activities at VAC including: ESL, Citizenship classes, social activitiy
and 4 days nutrition meals a week (Wednesday to Saturday), free haircut,
monthly field trips for seniors and electronic classes for adults, we also
have some special events from time to time at VAC for special groups and
the general public. From now on we will post the events here to provide
for better access of information and participation.
If otherwise
indicated, normally the events would be in-house.

March 28, 1999:
At 1 p.m this Sunday, Vietnamese Professional
Society (VPS) and VAC jointly organized a tax seminar for Vietnamese community
in San Jose from 1 p.m to 3 p.m. Everyone is welcomed. VPS is the group
that invented the Vietnamese fonts that are used by many to read and write
in Vietnamese including application for internet.
March 7, 1999:Poetic
recitals at 2 p.m Sunday, free admission, by Mr. Ha Thuong Nhan and Mr.
Duong Hue Anh. These two seniors have the reputation as the organizer,
publisher and the poetry master for many Vietnamese proses creation including
recital events in San Jose for many years. The event will mostly participated
by seniors but younger generation is welcome.
At 1 p.m Sunday, Vietnamese
Women Forum is also meet to plan for the group
activities. Everyone is welcome. The VWF started off a few months ago which
was also originated at VAC. Monthly meeting will be held here, please call
for more information.
March 3, 1999:
Special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday night
for youth groups to prepare a vigil night,
topic Human Rights in Vietnam
and to support the youth groups in little Saigon last week that
will be held on Friday March 5 at Andrew Hills high school 3200 Senter
Road, San Jose. Everyone is invited.
